This innovative patent pending technology offers unprecedented possibilities for laser or LED based optogenetics lighting requiring a compact and low loss dual channel fiber-optic rotary joint. This Separate Light Path 2×2 Fiber-optic Rotary Joint makes possible optogenetics and photometry experiments with an independent control of two different sites of illumination and/or detection of the light.
